'57 Zundapp Super Saber 250cc Motorcycle for sale as of 12/19/19 - $900
This motorcycle is in overall rough condition.
- There is rust and corrosion throughout, but nothing is frozen
- The engine turns over and has very good compression.
- I cleaned the carburetor and rebuilt the ignition points. Adding fuel and bump starting it the engine ran well with no abnormal noises.
- The kick-starter pawl is not engaging and the chain broke on the last running attempt. - - The motorcycle was able to be shifted through the gears when running with no issues.
- It does not ride - The brakes are not functioning and the very very old tires do not hold air
- The frame looks bent. Based on the low miles on the odometer I would assume the motorcycle was crashed and therefore parked. This is only a guess as there was no story when I bought it back in 2012.
**My asking price is only that. I am open to offers. Transfer is by bill of sale only.
- I do have contact information for a company that takes care of paperless motorcycles and gets them back to registered if you wish to do so.
- This bike can be restored and I have seen much worse brought back to life. I am not selling is as a restorable motorcycle, but as a cool garage piece or even decoration for your shop or home. This bike has been a display item for some time in my shop.A running engine is likely worth a few bucks to a Zundapp collector and there a some pieces that are hard to come by. I do not have the heart to take the motorcycle apart.
Contact me with any questions or to make an appointment for inspection.
